1Last night we spoke from Brother Branham's sermon Desperation, and specifically from paragraph 33 where brother Branham said, "Now, we're going to talk on Desperations for a few minutes now. Usually it takes a state of emergency to throw us into desperation. See? It's too bad it has to do that. But human beings are so slothful in their mind, that it takes an emergency, Something arises, and when they do, then it throws them into that desperation. And really, in doing that, in desperation it brings out that real thing that you are. It shows what you're made out of in the time of desperation. It usually pulls out all the good things that's in you.

2A couple weeks ago we spoke concerning the Bride to be who had lost one of her talents from her headpiece and how desperate she was to find it

3Luke 15:8 Either what woman having ten pieces of silver, if she lose one piece, doth not light a candle, and sweep the house, and seek diligently till she find it?

4And so she cleaned and cleaned everywhere, and she searched and searched everywhere until she found what she had lost. And the Jesus tells us in the Book of Revelations that the first church had lost their first love, which is the Doctrine of Christ.

5Revelation 2:1-7 Unto the angel of the church of Ephesus write; These things saith He That holdeth the seven stars in His right hand, Who walketh in the midst of the seven golden candlesticks;I know thy works, and thy labour, and thy patience, and how thou canst not bear them which are evil: and thou hast tried them which say they are apostles, and are not, and hast found them liars:And hast borne, and hast patience, and for My Name's sake hast laboured, and hast not fainted. Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love. Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent. But this thou hast, that thou hatest the deeds of the Nicolaitanes, which I also hate. He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the Tree of Life, Which is in the midst of the paradise of God.

6Now brother Branham explains in the Church Age book what this first love was.

7Church Age Book Chapter 3 - The Ephesian Church Age P:76 Now what was the spiritual climate of that church? It had left its first love. Leaving its first love of the Word of God was revealed to us as having fallen from its origin, which was Pentecost. In plain English, that means this church was in danger of being taken away from the leading of the Holy Spirit, the control of the Spirit. This was exactly what took place after Moses led Israel out of Egypt. The way of God was to lead them by the cloud of fire, prophetic utterance, miracles and signs, and God-given wonders. This was to be accomplished by `God-selected', and `God-ordained', and `God-equipped', and `God-sent' men, with the whole camp being dominated by a Holy Ghost move. They rebelled and wanted a set of rules and creeds to go by. Then they wanted a king. Then they wanted to be exactly like the world and went into complete apostasy and oblivion. That is exactly how the first church age started, and it will get worse and worse, until the Holy Spirit is completely rejected and God must destroy the people.

8Church Age Book Chapter 3 - The Ephesian Church Age P:60 The Complaint of God Revelation 2:4, "Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love." To understand this you must realize that the Spirit is not speaking to the original saints of Ephesus alone. This message is to the entire age which lasted about 120 years. Its message, then, is to all the generations in that span. Now history keeps repeating itself. In the generations of Israel we see revival in one generation, only to see the fires fading in the next. In the third generation, embers may be glowing slightly, but in the fourth there may be no vestige whatsoever of that original flame. Then God lights the fire again, and the same process is repeated. It is simply the manifestation of the truth that God has no grandchildren. Salvation is not passed on by natural birth any more than is there any truth to apostolic succession. It isn't in the Word. You start out with truly born-again believers, and when the next generation comes along they are no longer just plain Christians, but they have taken a denominational name and are now Baptists, Methodists, etc. That is exactly what they are, too. They are not Christians. You have to be born of the will of God, not the will of man, to be saved. But these folks are all coming together now by the will of man. I don't say that some of them aren't right with God. Not for a minute do I say that, but the original fire has died down. They are not the same any more.

9Now, this woman has lost her first love, she had been dilatory with her hairpiece that was a manifestation of her first love. And the Parable Jesus tells us how in desperation she realized she had been dilatory to lose her piece of silver in her crown, and how she in desperation sought it everywhere turning everything upside down until she found it. She really did an inventory of her life until she found what she had lost. and remember the woman always represents the church.

10The Apostle Paul tells us in Ephesians 5:26 how God cleanses his church. He says, "That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,"

11And Psalms 119:9 we are told "Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? by taking heed thereto according to thy word.

12Therefore this woman cleaned by seeking the Word until she found what she had lost. And notice in her seeking she fulfilled what the Scriptures teaches that in seeking we shall find.

13Colossians 3:1 If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.

14And we also see in Luke 12:31 But rather seek ye the kingdom of God; and all these things shall be added unto you.

15Again in Luke 11:9 And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.

16And again Matthew 7:7 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:

17And Matthew 6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

18Therefore this evening I would like to focus on this same thought that brother Branham spoke of where where he says, "Usually it takes a state of emergency to throw us into desperation. See? It's too bad it has to do that. But human beings are so slothful in their mind, that it takes an emergency, Something arises, and when they do, then it throws them into that desperation."

19Now, last Wednesday we spoke on how the woman, the church had become slothful and that is why she lost her piece of silver in her crown, and we likened this state of being dilatory to the state the five foolish virgins were in.

20But there is another bride who was not slothful. This Bride is called the five wise virgins and we see her spoken of in Matthew 25 as well as the five slothful virgins. Last night we read the parable of the ten virgins and we saw there are five that were considered wise and five that were considered foolish.

21Now, this Morning we will continue the thought found in Matthew 25:1-13 which deals with all Ten Virgins.

Matthew 25:1 ¶ Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom.

Now I want you to notice a few things here. First: Jesus starts out by saying the "Kingdom of Heaven is likened unto" and then he tells us what the Kingdom is likened unto.

22Now, I want you to notice that Jesus says, it is "Likened unto" and the particular usage of this word “likened” means, "to illustrate by comparisons". So Jesus is not saying this is what it is going to take place, but rather He is saying, “in a similar way it will be like this”.

23In other words Jesus is using an illustration and that illustration is supposed to clue us into the setting for the Kingdom of Heaven to be established.

Second: He uses the number ten in reference to the number of Virgins. Now the number ten is one of the perfect numbers and it is significant because it is the first decade and represents the entire numerical system. The entire numerical system coming to a completion. 0,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9, and 10 starts is all over again, because the fist two numbers 0, and 1 are both used in this first decade showing there are no more numbers to be used. And the number ten signifies that the whole cycle is now complete.

Now, The reason I want to show you the significance with this number ten Jesus used here is because by telling us of ten virgins, He is telling us this is the end time, this is the end of the cycle of virgins. I can say this because the number ten is used throughout scripture to depict the end of a cycle, such as God completed the whole cycle of man and the antediluvians age in the days of Noah. Now, what is significant about this is that Noah was the tenth Generation of Sons of God on the earth. 1. Adam, 2. Seth, 3. Enos, 4. Cainan, 5. Mahalaleel, 6. Jared, 7. Enoch, 8. Methusaleh, 9. Lamech, and 10. Noah.

Then after Noah, God started fresh again with man and ran another cycle until He came to Abraham, who is the tenth generation to come forth from Noah. And what is significant about that? Because God began a new relationship with man at that time and made a covenant to back up that relationship. So we see that God started over again, this time dealing with a Special covenant.

Now, some might say, then why did He deal with twelve tribes? But notice after the wandering in the wilderness, two tribes were cut off from the promise and God was back to ten again.

There are ten commandments, which contain all that is necessary and no more than is necessary both as to their number and order. We pay God our Tithes which is a tenth, and it represents the whole which is due God, and shows God’s claim upon the whole. Then we see there were ten plagues upon Egypt which represented the total complete circle of God’s judgment upon that nation. Therefore we see the number ten represents the all conclusive, and refers to the order of numbers coming to its full cycle.

Therefore in referring to the number ten concerning the virgins, Jesus is speaking of the conclusion of the virgin church, the called out and sanctified church, and remember all ten were called out to meet Him. The time when the Groom comes to take out a portion of that number, Five to be exact, which number five represents “Grace”.

Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom.

Third:: I want you to see that Jesus is speaking of virgins. At this point we do not see any distinction between these virgins. They are all considered virgins which means they have not been with men, and have not been impregnated by mans dogmas and creeds.

24Now we know according to Mark 4:14 and Luke 8:11 the seed that the planter sowed is the Word or God, and in 1 Peter 1:23 we are told that our new birth comes from an incorruptible seed, which is the word of God. And in all of these Scriptures we see that a seed is used in type for the Word of God which is called a seed because it contains life. To be more specific, the Word of God contains God-Life. Therefore, God has a Word which is His seed, and the Devil has a word which is also his seed. That’s the Two sowers who went forth sowing. And since these women are called virgins, they are a type of the church who have not been tainted by mans creeds or dogmas.

156 Ten Virgins 60-1211M] Now, watch, they, both of them were virgins. Now, let me get this. Here, let's take these two right here. This is a virgin and this is a virgin. This was a foolish virgin and this was a wise virgin, but both of them are virgins. Now, if you'll take that name "virgin" and run it down, it means "holy, clean, sanctified." The word "sanctify" comes from the word "sainted," which means "clean." Like the Hebrew word... Now, that's a Greek word; "sanctify" means "clean."

So then, these ten virgins which are virgins in both Word and deed, have not been corrupted by man's seed or man's doctrine.

Fourth: I want you to notice that all ten have lamps. Now in Psalm 119:105 we read, "Thy Word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path," So we see that the ten virgins are Bible toting Virgins. Now remember, a woman in the Bible always types a church. Brother Branham taught us that.

WHY WE ARE NOT A DENOMINATION? 58-0927 31 Now, a woman, in the Bible, represents "church." How many knows that? We are a Bride; the Church is a Bride.

Conflict Between God and Satan 62-0531 73 Fire is the confirmation of the Light coming from the Word. The smart virgin, the wise virgin, had oil in her lamp, and she trimmed her lamp and lit it. Now, what is it? Now, God is the Word; the Oil is the Spirit; and the Fire is the Gospel Light on that Oil. Amen. God said so. See? That's the vessel. All right. The Oil is in the vessel, and the Fire burning it, shows that it's reflecting the Light of what the Word said. See? That's the reflection. Now, that wise virgin could do that; but that other, foolish virgin, was on the outside, had no Oil. And they couldn't reflect nothing but just their church and their denomination. See? Now, "You say the Word... You said the Word was Spirit?" Yes, sir. God said, "My word is Spirit." That's right. The true Bride must be unified by the Word. Now, remember, if she is a part of Christ, she has to be the Word of Christ. In order to be the Word of Christ, you have to be baptized into Christ. And when you're in Christ, you believe Christ and Christ is the Word.

So we see that these ten virgins represent the church in it's purity with no man made creeds among them. They believe this Bible alone.

Fifth: I want you to understand that all ten had only one thing in mind, and that was to meet the Bride Groom. Jesus speaks nothing of these ten having eyes for another man. These are not adulterous women. They are pure and have eyes only for the Groom.

After Jesus speaks these initial words letting us know that he is dealing with a group of sanctified young ladies, He then tells us that there is a something that will ultimately bring forth a separation between this group of young ladies.

Now, the sixth point we want to examine is that Jesus has now divided the church or this group of virgins or ladies into two groups. One that has an anointing of the Holy Spirit upon her vessel, and the other that has no anointing of the Spirit of God upon her, and thus her lamp is rather useless to her. Now, let me stop here and just say this. And six is the number of man, so we see here that this sixth point must deal with man and the nature of the man, and thus we find Jesus begin to divide the ten ladies into two groups of five.

Which brings us to point number Seven: Which we find in verse 2 He tells us “And five of them were wise”, and the word He used was a Greek word Phronimos which means wise but comes from a root word phren which more accurately is described as one having understanding, or an ability to perceive and make a right judgment.

And we know according to Matthew 13: 10-17 and Mark 4: 10-12 that there is a certain Group of predestinated people who are ordained to know, to understand, and to perceive.

And we know also by what Jesus told us in those two scriptures that no one outside of those ordained individuals is capable of knowing, and understanding the Word. If you want to know whether you are born again or not, you will know you are born again when the Word of God comes alive to you. Paul said, “Ephesians 2: 1 And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins; and again in Colossians 2: 13 And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses;

And that is your key, together with Him, for if His Life is living and abiding in you, then you are alive to His word and can see it as it comes to pass. Colossians 3:4When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.

Audio letter to Lee Vayle 64-0500 P:2 Because if they only see it in the hour past, then there's no hope for the church. The church must see it in the present tense. So God sends His prophet to manifest, present tense of it. You see? And then, after it's over, then history is.

Anointed ones at end time 65-0725M P:158 Said, "I AM sent me." I AM, not I was, or will be, I AM, present tense, the Word now. Not the Word that was, the Word that will come, the Word that's now. See? You get it?

Anointed ones at end time 65-0725M P:168 "For it is impossible for those which were once enlightened and didn't move on with the Word as it come to pass..." They're dead, gone.

Now this word "wise" Jesus uses here is a Greek word Phronimos which means: to be prudent or sensible in a practical sense. We see Him use the same word in Matthew 7:24-27 Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them,( in other words, puts them into practice) I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded ( it's foundation ) was upon a rock. (and we know that this rock is Revelation, and Paul told us that no other foundation can be laid than what is already laid and that is Christ.)

And so we read on, "And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not,( does not put them into practice) shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand: ( You'll notice here that he has no foundation) And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.

Here we see that the Wise are those who not only hear but put into action what they hear. This is considered the prudent or sensible thing to do. And of course we see the foolish are those who also hear, but they do not do, they are dilatory and therefore because they do not put into action what they hear, they are not considered wise or prudent, but foolish, because they could have taken action and saved their home, but they did not, and therefore their homes were destroyed.

25Oh, how many believers today are watching their own children going down the wrong road and are headed for destruction only because they did not apply the Token. Brother Branham said "it won't do you any good unless you apply it, it must be applied!", and that means it has got to be put into use or it won't do you any good.

26Now the only difference between the Wise and Foolish is that One had their foundation built on The Revelation of Jesus Christ, while the other didn't. The same winds of doctrine blew down upon them both, they were both subjected to the same rain and wind and flooding which Isaiah 59: 19 warns us that "when the enemy comes in like a flood the Spirit of the Lord shall lift up a standard against him". But the thing I want you to notice is that the same trials will come upon both the wise and foolish alike, but the wise won't falter during this testing time because they have a foundation built upon a rock which is revelation.

"But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps.

27In other words, the Word was anointed to them which makes all the difference in the world, because to those whom the Word is anointed, it is a living Word, whereas to the others it is not a living Word, but a set of rules and regulations in which they must follow.

28In Isaiah 28: 9-13 NIV we see what happens to them who hear this Message but understand it not. "Who is He trying to teach? To whom is He explaining His Message? To children weaned from their milk, to those just taken from the breast? For it is: Do and do, do and do, rule on rule, rule on rule; a little here, a little there. Very well then, with foreign lips and strange tongues God will speak to this people, to whom He said, "This is the resting place, let the weary rest" ; and "This is the place of repose"- but they would not listen. So then, the Word of the Lord to them will become: Do and do, do and do, rule on rule, rule on rule; as little here, and a little there- so then they will go and fall backward, be injured and snared and captured."

And so we see the foolish virgin who did not have the anointed Word of God, when they realized how late it was they went to those who did understand the Midnight shout and they began to seek this anointing but it was too late. And so when they realized they did not have it they went into a works program and tried everything they could to work themselves up into a condition of anointing but it was to no avail. So let's read on and see what happens to them.

“And five of them were wise” and point number Eight: and “five of these ladies were foolish”.

Now, in order to understand this, Jesus tells us in the next verse why the five were foolish.

3 "They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them":

29Now, here is the scene Jesus is building up in our minds. These ten virgins, all of them are on their way to meet the Bride Groom with lamps in hand, but five of them have no oil in their lamps to keep the lamps lit. Thus the lamps or the Word of God has become useless to them. That's like taking your flashlight out to the barn and not checking to see if the batteries work first.

30Now, the significance of this is that the lamp is used to light the path before you so you don’t lose your way. But it’s got to be lit or it becomes of no use to you, just a bunch of extra weight, which represents just a prop so you can say you have a lamp, you have the word. Kind of like those politicians who use the Bible for a prop while campaigning for votes.

Now, in the same manner as the lamp without oil, if the Word of God is not lit up in your heart it will do you no good. And so we see these Bible toting young ladies out in the dark with no light. They are carrying a lamp, but apparently they do not know how to use it, or what it is for? Otherwise they would have made sure it had oil in it.

31And how many people profess to have the Message, and yet because they have no oil, they do not know how to utilize this great Lamp of God. And thus they still walk in darkness and the lamp, or the Message does them no good, for they do not know how to use it to see clearly their way to the Bride Groom.

And because they do not know how to rightfully divide the Word of Truth, what light they did have soon goes out and they walk in total darkness no different than the rest of the world. And so we see this pathetic scene take place where we have ten women, These are good women, they are ladies, they are virgins, not sitting in denominations. They are untouched, virgins.

Now, point number Nine: we pick up at 25:4 But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps.

32Notice the significance of the words Jesus says and how he says it. The wise took oil in their vessels. That means that they had a vessel that was separate from the Lamp. Now, the vessel represents their person.

33The Apostle Paul told us in I Thessalonians 4:3 For this is the will of God, even your sanctification, that ye should abstain from fornication: 4 That every one of you should know how to possess his vessel in sanctification and honour.

In other words, we should know how to keep our vessel sanctified. And the vessel represent your body, your person.

34And again we read in ACTS 9:15 when God spoke to Ananias about Paul, "But the Lord said unto him, (God is speaking to Ananias here,) Go thy way: for he is a chosen vessel unto me, to bear my name before the Gentiles, and kings, and the children of Israel:"

So we see that the five wise virgins took oil in their vessel and we know that oil represents the Holy Spirit or the anointing of God.

35I Samuel 16:13 Then Samuel took the horn of oil, and anointed him in the midst of his brethren: and the Spirit of the LORD came upon David from that day forward.

Now, let me show you further that this oil represents not only the Holy Spirit in the believer, but an ability given to the believer by the Holy Spirit to know and to understand the Word of God, because the anointing is for that very purpose of shining forth the light of God just as the oil in the lamp is to shine forth light from the lamp.

In I John 2:20 we read, ¶ But ye have an unction (that means anointing,) from the Holy One, and ye know all things.

36Then John makes it clear when he says, 21 I have not written unto you because ye know not the truth, but because ye know it, and that no lie is of the truth.

37Now we see another attribute of these ten virgins that they all sheared in Matthew 25:5 While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept.

38Now, we could take some time on this but we know that during the church ages the church was in a sort of slumber, during those dark ages, when the Word of God lay dormant. But notice the next verse and how specific the time is that Jesus is bringing out in this parable. He is telling us that it is almost the end of the day, which implies the end of time. It is almost midnight…

Now, we have finished nine points up to this time, and we are approaching point number ten. And what does Ten represent? It represents the whole cycle is now complete. And what do we see here as point number ten?

Ten: 6 And at midnight there was a cry made, (and at the very end of the day, when there is no more time left it is midnight… and don’t we see that same implication in Revelations 10:7 when time shall be no more?)

39Now the next point is number Eleven which 1+1 equals two, is the same number Brother Branham was born under. He is a number two by birth. 4-6-1909 equals 4+6+1 and you cancel out the (9, 0 and 9) and he is an eleven which is also a two because the nines cancel. And notice this midnight cry which is made, Now I want you to notice, they all heard the midnight cry, right? So it had to be pretty loud, right? And this word cry here means to speak very loud or with a loud voice, which is called a shout right? So we can say that all the virgins both wise and foolish heard this Midnight Shout? And what was the Shout? "Behold," which means "Look and See”, The Bridegroom cometh, He’s on His way…

40And who was standing there knocking at the door? "Behold I stand at the door and knock,"

41That’s Revelation 3, and "Behold the Judge standeth at the door" is James chapter 5.

42We see the same thing in Revelations 10: where the same root word is used to express this great cry in verse 3. In verse 1 The Lord Himself comes down and in verse 3 He cried with a loud voice, (which is a shout) as when a lion roareth: and when he had cried, seven thunders uttered their voices.

43And we know the Loud voice like a lion represents a prophetic voice, or that of a prophet. God speaking through His Prophet as we see in Amos 3:7 Surely the Lord GOD will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets. 8 The lion hath roared, Not squeaked, but roared,) who will not fear? the Lord GOD hath spoken, who can but prophesy? Look the prophet couldn’t even help it.

Anointed One at the End Time 65-0725M 269 Now, I want you to know this is sure. And you that listen to this tape, you might have thought today that I was trying to say that about myself, being that I was packing this Message. I have no more to do with it than nothing, no more than just a voice. And my voice, even against my better judgment... I wanted to be a trapper. But it's the will of my Father that I declare to do, and determined to do. I wasn't the One that appeared down on the river; I was only standing there when He appeared. I'm not the One that performs these things and foretells these things that happens as perfect as they are; I'm only one that's near when He does it. I was only a voice that He used to say it. It wasn't what I knew; it's what I just surrendered myself to, that He spoke through. It isn't me. It wasn't the seventh angel, oh, no; it was a manifestation of the Son of man. It wasn't the angel, his Message; it was the mystery that God unfolded. It's not a man; it's God. The angel was not the Son of man; he was a messenger from the Son of man. The Son of man is Christ. He's the One that you're feeding on. You're not feeding on a man. A man, his words will fail, but you're feeding on the unfailing Body-Word of the Son of man.

And it was no different with John the Baptist. He said those very same words in describing what took place in his ministry. Didn’t John say, “I’m just a voice of one crying in the wilderness”… So we have Hebrews 13:8 Jesus Christ the same yesterday, today, and forever. And Malachi 3:6 God changes not.

44We don’t look at the vessel, we look at God who is using that vessel. We don’t worship the vessel God uses, we worship God. The vessel isn’t God, it’s just a mask that God chose to work through and express Himself through. We don’t worship the burning bush, we don’t worship the pillar of fire or the cloud God used to cloth Himself in, or the rock that followed them in the wilderness and yet those things were Christ? Not the man, but they were anointed. Christ means anointing. And God anointed those things with His presence but that doesn’t make those things God, no more than the earth is God, and yet God came down with His presence and He anointed the earth with His Presence. And the trees of the field shall clap their hands, etc.

Anyway, not to get off our subject but notice what this midnight shout was.

…Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him. Notice what that shout was…Not, behold the Bride Groom is here, but that word cometh is the word erchomai which means “yet to come”, not Parousia which means present already. No, that midnight cry is speaking of the Coming of the Bride Groom, Then if it speaks of the coming of the Bride Groom, then the Bride Groom is not here yet at this time. Then who gave the midnight cry? Certainly it is not the Bride Groom, but another declaring his soon arrival. And when the king called forth a wedding for His Son, notice He is the One who called forth the wedding, it was Him calling forth, it was Him, the King that gave forth the Shout.

45Bother Branham said in his sermon, Divine Healing 54-1219M 283 I'm so happy today to know that God is in our midst; the shout of the King is here,…

46Way of a true Prophet 63-0119 E-66 There was a shout of the king in the camp. God was with them

United Under One Head 58-0326 E-50 I believe that His Presence is here. The King, there's a shout of the King.

Tine of Decision 59-0418 E-44 But what did he fail to see? He failed to hear the shout of the King in the camp down there. They had a smitten rock. They had a Pillar of Fire, a supernatural sign. They failed to see that. That's what's the matter with the world today, they fail to see It.

Condemnation By Representation 60-1113 35-2 And we believe that there is to be a church in these last days, that will receive both former and latter rain. It'll be scattered throughout the world in this Laodicean Age. It'll be a church that's called back to the original faith in God. It'll be a church that'll have Jesus Christ walking in it, manifesting Himself; the shout of the King will be in it.

Twelve: 6 And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom; come out to meet him.( now I know your King James version says, Behold the Bridegroom cometh, go out to meet Him, but this is a mis-translation. The original says, "Behold the Bridegroom, come out to meet Him).

47You see, the Message is always come out, not go out, for the one declaring the message is not inside with you, but is on the outside saying come out from among them and be ye separate Saith the Lord! So Who is saying come out to meet my Son? The King. Of course . He is the one who has invited you to the wedding. He is the one who is preparing the great supper. He is the one on the outside calling you to come out and we see that in Rev 3: 20, for it is the word that is calling us out, and God is the Word. Jesus told us in John 12:48 that the Word will Judge in the last days, then who is this Judge standing at the door in James 5: 9, It is God the Word, but he uses messengers.

48Matthew 22:1 And Jesus answered and spake unto them again by parables, and said, 2 The kingdom of heaven is like unto a certain king, which made a marriage for his son, 3 And sent forth his servants to call them that were bidden to the wedding: and they would not come.

Notice in 2 Corinthians 6: 17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, 18 And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.

We see the same thing in Revelations 18:4 where God says, “Come out of her my people that ye be not partakers of her plagues. He is the same and changes not. God said, I am that I am, and if he changes not, then every time we see the Scripture proclaim come out we know that it is the Father calling for us to come, just as we saw the Father King calling for the people to come to the wedding of the Bridegroom.

So then after this great cry goes forth, this shout of the King, then notice in the next verse, Point number Thirteen. Now, 13 is the number of the United states, and we do not have time to go into that but I have already preached on that, so we will skip that part but notice, we read in 25:7 Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps.

49Notice that this is verse seven. and its Matthew 25 which is 2+5 equals 7, so we have a double confirmation of 7’s which is completion here. And in the seventh age it’s lamp trimming time.

Now, remember the lamp is the Word of God. So what does it mean to trim the lamp?

50Notice when they all began to trim their lamps, which I believe they began to search the Word for an understanding of what this Midnight Shout was all about, it is then that the real difference between them comes into view. Brother Branham said in our opening text, "in desperation it brings out that real thing that you are."

51The Wise, were made ready, while the foolish realized they did not have the oil which we know always in scripture, oil represents the Spirit of God, the Holy Spirit. And this is the difference between them. And this is also the reason why the Wise knew who it was at the door and the Foolish did not.

52I think this also speaks of the Wise having an understanding of the Headstone returning with shoutings of Grace, Grace unto it. And it also shows that the wise not only heard and recognized but they had acted upon what they hear and recognized. BThe foolish had been dilatory and had not acted upon what the heard.

53The foolish were not aware of this grace. Apparently when they searched the Word, they saw something in it that they had to do for themselves, while the Wise in trimming their lamps, saw the Scriptures as saying that "He will make ready a prepared people", and also, "He which began the work in you will perform it" and other scriptures letting us know how we should approach Him." And so the Wise just went out to Him while the foolish began to try to become at the last minute diligent, but it was too late by then.

8 And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out.

54Notice their lamps have gone out. That means they were once lit. That means there wicks were at one time in contact with the oil. But no longer, for the oil had run out. The anointing had left. The wick must be in contact with the oil, (Spirit), and then it is able to be lit and bring forth light.

55But oh, message believers, you that will hear this sermon, and you that will read it, Paul said, “you did run well, what has hindered you.”

And so verse 9, the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves. And we have more people selling the message than at any other time, and you can get it so cheap that if you don’t have a full library of the message it shows that you have placed other things before the Word of God. But the sad thing is most people have all the Message in their computers or even their phones, but not in their heart where it belongs.

10 And while they went to buy,

56Notice the last thing that happens here before the Bride Groom comes is they, the foolish virgin got caught up in a buying spree. And what is all the clamor about today right in this message? Is it not over who has a right to sell the Message? Can’t you see where we are at?

5710 And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut.

E-35 Sudden Secret Going Away of the Church 58-1012 They were ready to go meet Him, but some of them let their oil go out. Don't let that be your case. Keep oil in your lamp. Oil is the Spirit, the Holy Spirit. Never let it drain from you. When you feel your love dying away, your sincerity to Christ, and to the cause, quickly go to Him Who has the Fountain of Oil and buy for yourself a filling of the Holy Spirit.

Lamb's Book of Life 56-0603 E-28 028 Noah was a type that was carried over like the sleeping virgin. But Enoch was translated just before the tribulation struck. And Enoch was took up, and was found not, because God took him: the type of the going forth of the going forth of the church. And Noah watched him. When he seen Enoch go, he knew it was time to enter the ark, for to be carried through the tribulation. The Bible said there was ten virgins went out to meet the bridegroom, and five were wise; five were foolish. And they were all virgins, every one of them. But five was wise. And they had oil in their lamp. And they went out to meet the bridegroom. And the bridegroom came. And the ones that had oil, went in. See, the translation, going with the Bridegroom. But those who were left behind, they come and wanted in too just like those who come and knocked on the door of the ark. "Noah, let us in." But God closed the door. No, friend of mine, one of these days God's going to give you your final call, then the door's going to be closed between mercy, and judgment. Don't be left out. Get in now while you can. Don't pay no attention to what the world says. Get into Christ, for those that are in Christ will God bring with Him. See?

Now, I want you to notice something here. While the others who were considered foolish went out looking to try and find some anointing in order to understand this Midnight Shout, the others went into the Marriage in the Presence of the Bridegroom as it says, They went in with Him.

5811 Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us.

59Afterwards, the others realized who it was that was knocking and who it was that was Present, but it was too late then, they missed Him because they had not been ready. The Word had not been anointed to them and they missed the Revelation of Jesus Christ. They were left behind for the tribulation period.

6012 But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not.

61This word know here is a Greek word which means to fully know but in the context that Jesus is using it, it would suggest that He's saying, "I never really had a consummate relationship with you" and therefore, as Doctor Hoyer from Wheaton Illinois who was at one time considered the greatest U.S. student of the Greek said, "this should be translated as "I used to know you as my wife, but I do not know you as my wife any longer." In other words, we never consummated our relationship together and therefore I really never knew you in a sense of I have never had an intimate relationship with you.

Finally we here Jesus speak forth words of warning concerning this parable and what it means in verse 13 Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.

62And of course this word watch means to ever be keeping a vigilant eye, or spiritual alertness for the Parousia of the Son of Man.

And remember, if this Midnight Cry or Shout is still a secret to you then it has not been revealed to you, and as long as it has not been revealed to you then it does not yet belong to you.

63For we read in Deuteronomy 29:29 The secret things belong unto the LORD our God: but those things which are revealed belong unto us and to our children for ever, that we may do all the words of this law".

Notice, Brother Branham said, "when you have been truly baptized by the Holy Spirit, then the Message is no longer a mystery to you, it is no longer a secret to you, you know it!" "It's all lit up before you" I don't think you'll need to have someone take you aside and tell you about your need to be in church, you'll just automatically be there when those doors open, because it's real to you, and because you Love Him so much that you can't get enough of Him. And because it is real, you'll hunger and thirst for as much of Him as you can get. You won't need someone to hold your hand and baby you through, because you're ready to Live, or Die, Sink or drown, or whatever is necessary for His Word's sake.

64You see, that is what the New Birth is all about. It's not just coming to a fellowship. It's about being born again as a new individual, a new Creation in Christ Jesus. Old things are done away and all things have become new. You don't live for your job, you don't live for your vacation, you don't live for your new car like the rest of the world does. You live because Christ lives in you. You have no taste buds for the things of the world. I'm not saying that some of those things aren't nice to have, but they can't really satisfy. And there is only one thing that can satisfy, and that is to know Him.

And what is the evidence that He has filled you with His Spirit, that you have been baptized in the Spirit of the Living God? , "when you have been truly baptized by the Holy Spirit, then the Message is no longer a mystery to you, it is no longer a secret to you, you know it!" "It's all lit up before you".

65And if it is no longer a mystery to you, then it has been revealed to you. And if revealed to you then it belongs to you. You are a possessor of it as we are told in Deuteronomy 29:29 The secret things belong unto the LORD our God: but those [things which are] revealed belong unto us and to our children for ever, that [we] may do all the words of this law".

In closing we read from 1032-Q-306 Questions and Answers 64-0823E 306. After the Bride is raptured will any of the foolish virgin be saved or will they all be lost? No. See, everything will be finished for the Gentile church when the Bride is taken from the earth. The Spirit of God leaves the earth: "He that's filthy is filthy still; he that's righteous is righteous still; he that's holy is holy still." In other words the sanctuary becomes smoky, where the Attorney stands to plead the case. Christ leaves the sanctuary; His day of mediatorial is over. The rapture comes; He leaves from the sanctuary, goes forth and takes the Book of Redemption, and claims everything He redeemed. There's no more mediatorial work. How many understands that? I got it on one of the Seals--or one of the... Yeah, the Seals, I believe it was, that Christ comes forth to claim His mediatorial work., just a minute. "Will the foolish virgin be saved." No. Whatever happens, happens now. After that time she's in the state... Now, she will have to go through the tribulation period. And the reason of it is, is because she has rejected the Atonement in Its fullness. She is a believer, a professed believer, but she will have to go through the tribulation period.

66Let us bow our hearts and our heads in prayer.
