LOOK #13
Getting into it and Running from it
Brian Kocourek
REV 2:1-7 ALPHA
REV 3_14-21 OMEGA... PRAYER pp. 89-92 (read)
This morning we see a very striking
Paradox that brother Branham lays out before us in this illustration. He says, TODAY, EVEN NOW, THE HOLY SPIRIT IS
IN THE EARTH MOVING, SHOWING THINGS: AND PEOPLE RUN
FROM IT INSTEAD OF GETTING INTO IT."
Now there are two things we must look at here:
Point number one is GETTING INTO IT.
What does he mean by we must get into It. And what is
the It he speaks of. And why must we get into It.
Point number two is RUNNING FROM IT.
Why do people run from Christ.
Why do people run from the Word unfolding here today.
Why do people run from the revelation that God
has given us of His Presence here Among us?
To begin to understand these
questions and many more that you may have as to why people just can't seem to
enter into This Great end-time revealing of Christ, let's turn to God's Holy
Word once again in the book of:
REV 3:19-20, Notice here, where it
says, " BE ZEALOUS THEREFORE, AND REPENT.
We've heard these words many, many times I'm
sure, but like so many things we have heard, what effect did these words
have upon us. Did these words roll off our minds like water off the back of a duck? What does it mean to be zealous.
Why does Jesus says so quickly after telling them to
be zealous, He says, "AND REPENT".
What does this scripture tell us?
.....
I. ZEALOUS: = ZELOO
:
TO HAVE WARMTH OF FEELING FOR OR AGAINST,
COVET OR DESIRE EARNESTLY, MOVE WITH ENVY or TO BE JEALOUS OVER, TO HAVE WARM
INTEREST IN (
ZEALOUSLY AFFECT).
means boiling hot.Now,
remember what brother Branham said, "TODAY, EVEN NOW, THE HOLY SPIRIT IS
IN THE EARTH MOVING, SHOWING THINGS; AND PEOPLE RUN FROM IT INSTEAD OF GETTING
INTO IT."
Now we want to show you this
comparison by scripture this morning in order
that you may know where you stand. ARE YOU
RUNNING FROM HIS PRESENCE OR GETTING INTO IT?
REV 3:19-20 "BE ZEALOUS
THEREFORE AND REPENT BECAUSE I'M HERE KNOCKING AND WANT TO COME IN AND FEAST ON
MY WORD WITH YOU."
Notice this word ZEALOUS that He
uses. This word ZEALOUS also means to be JEALOUS OVER. Now what does it mean to
be Jealous Over? <A>
II COR 11:1-4 Why was Paul Jealous?
Now there is a difference between being jealous and being envious. Can anyone
tell me the difference between jealous and envy? God wants you to be Jealous
for Him, and His Word, but never be envious of others and what they have. Paul
wanted the people to have what he had, so he was jealous over them with a Godly
jealousy.
ENVY: ENVY SEEKS TO DEPRIVE ANOTHER
OF WHAT HE HAS, WHILE JEALOUSY SEEKS TO HAVE THE SAME,
OR THE SAME SORT OF THING FOR ITSELF.
Paul wanted the people to have a
closer walk with the One who he had introduced them to, and so when someone cut
in on this
But notice what reason brother
Branham gives us for the people who run from what God is doing. After he tells
us about what a great thing God Himself is doing here on earth today, he says
instead of people coming to it they run from it because, " IF IT ISN'T
CONNECT-ED WITH THEIR GROUPS, THEY WANT NOTHING TO DO WITH IT."
Remember, Paul had a Godly jealousy,
but jealousy and envy
are two different things. ENVY SEEKS TO DEPRIVE ANOTHER OF WHAT
IT HAS WHILE JEALOUSY SEEKS TO HAVE THE SAME, OR THE SAME SORT OF THING. So we see
by brother Branham's statement that because it isn't part
of what their group has, they not only don't want
anything to do with it but they also would try to keep you from
having it.
ACTS 13:14-16 And
Paul began to preach to the people the Word of God as they had never heard it
before. Now
let's pick up this story at vs
41 and read to vs 45.
Notice how their jealousy turns to
envy. They were jealous of the crowds gathering
to Hear Paul, but instead of just coveting the crowds, they wanted
to deny Paul the crowds and so try to turn them away
from Him. When they found that they could not,
they sought to persecute Him until he fled for His Life.
ACTS 17:1-14
Again we see, "THE JEWS MOVED
WITH ENVY"
ROMANS
MATT
ACTS 7:9-10 even among those called
brethren.
GAL 2:1-5 Notice especially in vs 4. These men come in craftily, not in the open. But
spread their heresies behind the scenes. Brother Vayle has told me on numerous
occasions about men he has met that have this nature that wants to come around
and so their revelations to
individuals in the church, but they
won't stand before the whole congregation with it because they know
that they would be exposed.
One man down in
that apparently, at least he believed
God was showing him. Brother Vayle warned
the Pastor not to let that persist or it would destroy
His church. That's exactly what Paul did, He
withstood these men to the face. Well, the last thing I heard
about this man down in Mississippi is that He had a six inch
pick and was going to perfect the bride through his guitar
playing. I heard his tape and all I got out of it was a
few good laughs and an aggravated ear from his so called
angelic bells that would ring while he played.
"ONE WORD OFF IS SATAN'S
KINGDOM."
Tom, maybe that's why the Lord
allowed your finger to get cut, to keep you
from getting any ideas about that guitar of yours.
(joking)
But really, this is nothing to joke
about. Paul gave those false brothers the boot, and when men come around you
with doctrines that brother Branham did not speak about, do
as they did in the first church age.
REV 2:2 CA BOOK "BECAUSE YOU DON'T SAY WHAT
PAUL SAID."
I JOHN 4:1
Now we've spoken that there is a
difference between Jealousy and envy. Paul had betrothed them to CHRIST. They
belonged to Christ and some men came in, Paul called them "SUPER
APOSTLES,"
By the way, what is a super apostle
anyway? < >.
But as you can see there is a fine
balance between being jealous for the Lords
possession, and being envious. Yet in both cases,
we see scripture to deny the other. Paul warned the people
about being open to seductive spirits and not to have
anything to do them. He called
them grievous wolves entering into the flock.
But notice the methods of Gods seed vs Satan's Seed. Satan's seed always
come around seductively one on one and will not stand an open
Word test. They go after the weakest sheep. Those sheep with the
least discernment. Those sheep that they can win
their the trust of. You know their is one attribute
about a real sheep if you have ever seen them.
They are leery of strangers. Unless you part of
that little flock, they won't get to close to others thatare
not part of that flock. And another thing about sheep,
they flock together, that's why they are called a flock. MY SHEEP
HEAR MY VOICE AND ANOTHER'S VOICE THEY WILL NOT HEAR.
PP. 92 TODAY, EVEN NOW, THE HOLY
SPIRIT IS IN THE EARTH MOVING, SHOWING THINGS; (what things? HIMSELF).
AND PEOPLE RUN FROM IT INSTEAD OF GETTING INTO
IT, THE WORD MADE FLESH AND VINDICATED-THE VERY THINGS
THAT HE DID AND PROMISED THAT HE WOULD DO, AND IF IT ISN'T CONNECTED WITH THEIR
GROUP THEY HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH IT.
WHY? I WOULD LIKE TO ASK THEM ONE
QUESTION, WHY?
I don't really need to ask them why,
because I know why. They are not focused on the same One we are focused on. And
I want to just leave these Words with you this morning.
IF YOU ARE NOT FOCUSSED UPON CHRIST
WHO IS HERE REVEALING HIMSELFTHROUGH THIS MESSAGE, THEN YOU CAN ONLY BE
FOCUSSED UPON ONE OTHER THING, AND THAT IS YOURSELF.
YOU ARE EITHER FOCUSSED UPON CHRIST
OR YOURSELF.
WEDNESDAY NIGHT WE LOOKED AT A
BEAUTIFUL SCRIPTURE THAT TELLS IT ALL IN ONE
VERSE.
JOHN 7:18
LET'S JUST BOW OUR HEADS IN PRAYER .
