You Heard from your Theophany
September 9th,
2001
II TIMOTHY 3:16 All scripture [is]
given by inspiration of God, theo-pneustos God breathed,
That's JOHN 6:63, the words that I speak unto you, [they] are spirit, and [they]
are life. And if they are life , then they are alive. Therefore This Living Word which is breathed out
from God) And [is] profitable for doctrine, for
reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 17 That the man of
God may be perfect completely mature, and
thoroughly furnished or finished
off unto all
good works.
Now, what is this thoroughly
furnished mean? It means that we are not done so to speak until we receive the
body change. And that can not come until we have joined to that Word body which
was in the mind or thoughts of God before the world began. And that is what we
are going to look at today from brother Branham's sermon on …
Who is this Melchisedec 65-0221E. Therefore, let's turn to paragraph 88 and read. Then after you recognize the very Word of God
was Eagle Food, then you left the other thing. You've then been formed into the
living image of the living God. You heard from your theophany.
"If this earthly body be dissolved, we have one waiting." You say,
"Is that right, Brother Branham?" All right, let's take a couple of
eagles and look at them for a few minutes.
Notice,
brother Branham makes the statement, You
heard from your theophany. In order to
better understand what he is saying we must find out what a theophany
is. For if we read this statement, and do not know what a theophany
is, then our imagination can run wild, and we will not really know what it is
that we heard from. Therefore we must ask the following three questions.
1)
What is a theophany?
2)
Where is this theophany
at?
3)
How do we join to it?
Now,
for question number 1) What is a theophany.
The
word Theophany comes from two words, 1) Theos which means God, and the Greek word phany which is derived from paneros
or phaneroo which means to manifest in ones true
character. Therefore, we are talking about a God-manifested body. Now, to
better understand this, we need to know what God is. First of all John tells us He is the Word. John 1:1 In the beginning was the
Word and the Word was God. Secondly, Jesus said, that God is a
Spirit. JOHN 4:24 God [is] a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship
[him] in spirit and in truth.
Therefore
we can conclude if we are to receive a God-Body it will be a Word Body that is
Spirit.
The
Apostle Paul said, I CORINTHIANS 15:39 All flesh [is] not the same flesh: but [there is] one [kind
of] flesh of men, another flesh of beasts, another of fishes, [and] another of
birds. 40 [There are] also celestial bodies, and bodies terrestrial:
but the glory of the celestial [is] one, and the [glory] of the terrestrial
[is] another. 41 [There is] one glory of the sun, and another glory of the
moon, and another glory of the stars: for [one] star differeth
from [another] star in glory. 42 So also [is] the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in
corruption; it is raised in incorruption:
43 It is sown
in dishonour; it is raised in glory: it is sown in
weakness; it is raised in power: 44 It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is
a natural body, and there is a spiritual body.
And
Brother Branham called it a spirit body. From this sermon of brother Branham's
called Who is this Melchisedec,
we find he said more about what a theophany is than
in any other sermon he preached. So let's just recap some of the things he has
said.
WHO IS THIS MELCHISEDEC 65-0221E 55 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word
was with God, and the Word was God. And then the Word became flesh and dwelled
among us. Hold that there now. Notice. His--His first
being was Spirit, God, supernatural (All right?), the great Eternal. Second, He
begin to form Himself towards flesh in a theophany,
it's called, "the word, a body." This then is the state He was in
when He met Abraham, was called Melchisedec. He
was in the form of theophany. Now, we'll get to
that and prove it in a few minutes, the Lord willing.
58 He
was the Word. A theophany is something that you
could not see. It could be right here now, yet you cannot see it. It's just
like, well like television, that's in another dimension.
67 Now, we see the attribute sons of His
Spirit have not yet entered into the Word form body, a theophany.
This body is subject to the Word and earnest--waiting for the earnest change of
the body. Now, the different between Him and you as a son... See, He was at the
beginning the Word, an "En morphe"
body. He came in and lived in that in the Person of Melchisedec.
Then later... We never heard no
more of Melchisedec, because He became Jesus Christ. Melchisedec was the Priest, but He became Jesus Christ.
Now, you bypassed that, because in that form He knowed
all things. And you have never been able to know that yet. You come like Adam,
like me. You became from the attribute to the flesh to be tempted. But when
this life is finished here... "If this earthly tabernacle be dissolved, we
have one already waiting." That's where we go; that is the Word. Then we
can look back and see what we done. Now, we don't understand it. We have never
become the Word; we've just become the flesh-man, not the Word. But... And look clearly, makes it clear you will never be
the Word unless you was a thought at the beginning.
That proves the predestination of God. See? You can't be the Word 'less you're
a thought. You had to be in the thinking first. But you see, in order to stand
temptation you had to bypass the theophany; you had
to come down here in flesh to be tempted by sin. And then if you sin...
"All the Father hath given Me will come to Me,
and I'll raise him up at the last days." See, you had to be first. And
then you see, He come right down the regular line,
from attribute to...
Notice
he said that God began to empty Himself into a body, He en-morphed himself into
a body. That means He poured Himself into this body. Now, God
kenosed Himself. He did not empty Himself, but
he poured out every attribute of Himself into another form. He poured Himself
into, meaning that all that was in Him concerning every attribute and
characteristic, he poured into this Body.
MIGHTY GOD UNVEILED 64-0629
15-1 I think the Greek word there is
"kenos," which means that "He emptied Hisself
out," not in the way that we would say, like something was inside of
somebody that had emptied out, but He poured Himself out. He changed His en morphe. He changed from what He was to what He is. He never
changes His nature.
UNVEILING OF GOD
64-0614M 77 Now, when It said here
that He emptied Himself or poured out, now, we'd think like this, that He
"vomit up," the English word of "emptied or poured out from Him
(See?), something went out of Him that was different from Him." But the
word "Kenos," in the Greek, does not mean that He "vomit
up," or some--His arm went off, or His eye went out another person. That
is, He changed Himself; He "poured Himself into," (Amen!), into
another mask, into another form; not another person went out of Him called the
Holy Spirit, but It was He Himself.
WHO IS THIS MELCHISEDEC 65-0221E 70 Before the foundation of the world his
Name's put on the Lamb's Book of Life. Then from that He become the Word, the theophany, that could appear, disappear; and then He become
flesh and returned back again, resurrected that same body in a glorified
condition. But you bypassed the theophany and
become flesh-man to be tempted by sin. And then "if this earthly
tabernacle is dissolved, we have one already waiting." We have not yet the
bodies. But look, when this body receives the Spirit of God, the Immortal
Life inside of you, it throws this body in subjection to God. Hallelujah.
WHO IS THIS MELCHISEDEC 65-0221E 78 Then when a man is borned
again from heaven, he becomes a spirit babe in Christ. And then when this robe
of flesh is dropped, there is a natural body, theophany,
a body not made with hands, neither born of a woman, that we go to. Then
that body returns back and picks up the glorified body. That's the reason Jesus
went to hell when he died and preached to the souls that were in prison. Turned
back into that theophany... Oh, marvelous. Thank God.
II Corinthians 5:1 "If this earthly
body be dissolved (this earthly tabernacle), we have another one." See, we have bypassed that to come straight from God, the
attribute, to be flesh to be tempted and tested by sin like Adam did. But when
testing of His Word is over, then we are taken up to this body that was
prepared for us before the foundation of the world. It is the Word there that
we skipped to come right around down here to be tempted and tested. If we'd
have come through that, there'd have been no temptation; we'd knowed all things. That's the reason Jesus knowed all things, 'cause He was Word before He was flesh.
Then we become the Word. Here we are formed to the Word image to be a partaker
of the Word, feed on the Word, by being predestinated since the beginning. You
see, that little spark of life that you had in you from the beginning when you
started your journey... Many of you can remember it. You joined this church and
joined that church, and try this and that; nothing satisfied. That's right. But
one day you just recognized it. Right.
WHO IS THIS MELCHISEDEC 65-0221E 92 For he said, "Why did you call me out
of my rest, seeing you become a enemy to God?" Watch him prophesy.
"Tomorrow night by this time you'll be with me." He was still a
prophet, though he was gone from this body. See, he become here and was part of
that Word, and he entered from the flesh life back into the body that had been
prepared for him before the foundation of the world. He entered into the theophany which was the Word. You get it? That's where
all believers go when we turn from here. Then in that form the veil then is
lifted. You see you are the Word also when you enter into there.
WHO IS THIS MELCHISEDEC 65-0221E 95 Now, the true revelation of Melchisedec comes into view was--that He was God, the Word,
before He became flesh, God the Word. 'Cause He had to be; no one else could be
immortal like Him. See, I had father and mother; you did too. Jesus had father
and mother. But this Man had no father or had no mother. Jesus had a time He
started; this Man didn't. Jesus gave His life; this Man couldn't, because He
was Life. And it's the self same Man all the time. I hope God reveals it to
you, the self same Person all the time. Notice His title, King of
righteousness. Now, Hebrews 7:2: King of righteousness and King of peace, He's
two Kings. Now, watch, Hebrews 7:2, King of righteousness, also the King of
peace. He's two Kings there. Now, since He has come in the flesh and received
His body up, in Revelations 21:16 He's called the King of Kings. He's all three
of them together. See? King God, King Theophany,
King Jesus; He's the King of Kings. It's all met, just like soul, body, and
spirit. All comes to make one. Also He is the Father, which was the first, Son,
and Holy Ghost, the Spirit. King of righteousness, the Spirit attribute; theophany, King of peace, theophany;
and in flesh He was King of Kings: same Person.
98 When the theophany...
Moses seen Him, Exodus 33:2, He was a theophany.
Moses wanted to see God. He'd heard His voice, heard Him talk to him, seen Him in a bush there with a big Pillar of Fire. And he
said, "Who are You; I want to know Who You
are?" Moses said, "I'll put--if You'll let
me see You... I'd like to see Your face." He
said, "No man can't--see My face." He said,
"I'll put My hand over your eyes, and I'll pass
by. And you can see My back, but not My face."
See? And when He did, it was the back of a Man; it was theophany.
Then the Word that come to Moses, I AM; that was the
Word. The Word came to Moses in the form of a--a Pillar of Fire in a burning
bush, the I AM. As the Word from the theology--or from
the theophany, rather (Excuse
WHO IS THIS MELCHISEDEC 65-0221E 101 There came a Man to Abraham, three of them,
and set down under an oak tree, three of them. And notice, after He talked to
Abraham... Why did He come? Abraham, being the one with the promise and the
message of the coming son, and also He was God's Word prophet that was trusting
God's Word, calling anything contrary as though it wasn't... See how perfect
the Word is? The Word came to the prophet. See, there was God in a theophany, and the Bible said the Word comes to the
prophet. And here was the Word in the theophany...
Now, you say, "Was that God?" Abraham said it was. He said His name
was... He called Him Elohim. Now, in Genesis 1 you
find out, "In the beginning Elohim created the
heavens and the earth." In Genesis 18 we find out that--that Abraham
called this Person that set there and talked to him, and could tell him the
secrets of his heart, tell him what Sarah was thinking behind Him, Abraham
said, "It is Elohim." He was in a theophany form. You get it? 103 Notice,
after... Now, we find out that He was then in the theophany
form. He called Him, "Lord God, Elohim."
WHO IS THIS MELCHISEDEC 65-0221E 109 Therefore
the theophany, if you have died and entered into that
theophany, what happens? The theophany
comes to the earth to pick up the redeemed body. And if you're here in the air, you take the body to meet the theophany (There you are.), and caught up and go to meet
the Lord in the air. Who is this Melchisedec but God?
WE WOULD SEE JESUS 57-0516 E-15 Well,
now, how can we see Him? The way we can see Him is by His works. Now, he hasn't
come in a corporal body yet, among us. He's here in a spiritual body (You
believe that?), a spiritual body called the Holy Spirit. He's in the
form of the Holy Spirit. In the beginning God was a Spirit. And all the
fountain of goodness and mercy and power, and all the good things of love, God
was the center of that fountain. And then the Logos that went out of God in the
beginning become what we would call a theophany, or a
supernatural body. God is just not like the air, but He's in a body. Moses
seen Him pass and said it looked like the back part of a man,
and so forth. And then that same theophany was made
flesh and dwelled among us. And we beheld Him, the only begotten of the Father:
Christ.
And
you hath he quickened. What you are here is a reflection of what you are
somewhere else.
HEBREWS CHAPTER 2 PART 3 57-0828 80-279
But the difference between an animal
and a man, God put a soul in a man and He didn't put it in the animal, because
the soul that was in the man is that theophany.
E-35
EXPLAINING HEALING AND JAIRUS
54-0216 You are now. Now,
we're sons of God. Now, we're seated together in heavenly places. Now, we have
all powers in heavens and the earth. See? Now, we have it. Not in the
millennium, we won't need it then. We
got it now. We're... Right now we are the sons of God. "It does not
appear what we shall be, but we know we'll be like Him." What you are here is a
reflection of what you are somewhere else. "Those who He called, He
justifies." Is that right? "Those who He justified, He has glorified." Already in the
Presence of the Father, we have a glorified body. Whew! Wasn't that deep? All right. We'll find out whether it's right or not.
"If this earthly tabernacle be dissolved, we have one already
waiting." Is that right? That's right. So right now, and what we are
there, is a reflection. Here, what we
are here, is a reflection of what we are somewhere else. So if your deeds
are evil, you know where it comes from. You know where your other body's a
waiting.
LIFE 57-0602 E-22 Let's close our eyes to our imaginations
for a few moments and go way back into the--'fore there was anything. The great
fountain of all eternity was that spirit of love, joy, that spirit of honesty,
that spirit of trueness in this perfection. And then out of the existence of
the Father went the Logos which was the Son, which was the theophany,
which was the body of the great Jehovah God went forth in a celestial Body.
That's the Logos. The Word spoke out of them great Fountains of Life and went
forth. And there was the theophany, which was God
made into Word.
Entombment 57-0420 49 Bury me in Christ, for those that are in Christ will God bring with
Him at that day. How do we get in Christ? I Corinthians 12:13, "By
one Spirit we are all baptized into one Body, and become fellow citizens of the
THIRSTING FOR LIFE 57-0630 E-13 Now, when God was in theophany,
which was Christ in the making, then that theophany
become flesh and dwelled among us. Then that was to redeem. He came from
there down through this to redeem this creature, give it life, and take it back
up into the eternal one. See? Now, there's only one Eternal Life, and that lays in God only. And God only has Eternal Life. And we have
been privileged to become the sons of God. Then that word: "He that heareth My words and believeth on
him that sent me, hath Eternal life." The Greek word "Zoe," there used for God's own life. The creature that
accepts Him becomes a part of God and is just as eternal as God is. That's
right. There's no reason for us to doubt that. It's God's everlasting, eternal
Word. And everything that had a beginning has an end.
JEHOVAH JIREH
57-0810 E-41
Walked down, He said, "I'm going down to talk to Abraham, He might
not understand Me. If I go as a man, he will know it." That was nothing
but the pre-figure of the Lord Jesus Christ. That's the Melchisedec
and so forth. It was a theophany to begin with,
and then It become flesh. And They
eat like men, hungry.
HEBREWS CHAPTER 1
57-0821 20-126 Could you imagine before
there even was a earth, before there was a light, before there was a star,
before there was anything? There's a Great Fountain going forth of Spirit,
and out of this Fountain came the most pure of love; 'cause there was
nothing for it to come from there but love. Now, we... What we call love today
is a perverted love. But just as we get a essence, or
a little bit of that love in us, it changes our whole opinion. Then out of
there come another stream off of this main Fountain, the Diamond, and it was
called righteousness, absolutely righteousness. Now, that's the reason we had
to have law. That's the reason law has to have judgment. If judgment doesn't
follow law, law doesn't do no good. And when judgment
was passed by law, which brings death... And there's no one who could pay the
penalty but God Himself. And He paid the penalty of our death, and took our
sins upon Him, that we might be the righteousness of God through Him. Now, when
these great Lights went out, or great rays of Spirit: love, peace... That's all
there was. That... There wasn't no
suffering; there wasn't no--no hate, nor no malice. It couldn't come from this
Fountain. That was Jehovah. That was Jehovah God. And now, as the theologians
call it, a theophany went from That,
which was called in the Scriptural the Logos, the Logos that went out of God.
It's hard to explain, but It was a part of God.
21-129 Now, here's what happened. Oh... Excuse me; I--I--I just get
on this... This just gets me right where I love it. See? The Logos, and this
great Fountain; this great Fountain of Spirit which had no beginning or no end,
this great Spirit begin to form in the creation; and the Logos that went out
from It was the Son of God. It was the only visible form that this Spirit had.
And It was a theophany,
which means a body, and the body was like a man. Moses saw It
when It passed through the--by--by the rock. And he looked at It, said, "It looked like the hind part of a man."
It's the same type of body that we receive when we die here, "If this
earthly tabernacle be dissolved, we have one already waiting." That was
it. And that was the Theophany which was the Son
of God. That Son, that Logos became flesh because we were put in flesh. And
the Theophany, the Logos, became flesh here among us,
and It was nothing else but the dwelling place; for
that entire Fountain dwelt in Him. Oh, do you see it? There it is.
HEBREWS CHAPTER 2 PART 3
57-0828 80-278 And now, the Logos that went
out of God, which was the Logos, all this begin to form into a--a body shape.
And this body shape was called in the scholar's teaching, "Logos,"
the Logos that went out of God. In other words, a--a better word for it was
a--what we call a theophany. Theophany
is a human body that's glorified, not exactly with flesh and blood like it will
be in its glorified stage, but it is of a form of a human body that doesn't
eat, neither does it drink, but it's--it's a body, a body that's waiting for us
as soon as we leave this one. Now, in there, we enter into that body. And
that's the kind of body that God was. For He said, "Let Us make man in Our own image and in our likeness."
HEBREWS CHAPTER 4
57-0901E 158-229 Just think of it. Is
there two Eternal Lifes? You couldn't answer that,
could you? There's one Eternal Life, and that's the Life of God. This other
kind of life, no matter what it is, it's got a end to
it. And anything that had a beginning has an end. But anything that had no
beginning has no end. And God said He would give us Eternal Life "without
beginning." We were just made a part of Him. And actually the Life that's
in us, wasn't brought here by human nature. Nature give us a spirit, but that spirit died, and
we got the Spirit of God. Glory to God. Was God a man?
Certainly. "Let us make man in our own
image." What was God? A Theophany, a Body.
And there God... Man was made like that and put over the garden, but there's no
man to till the soil in the senses. Then He created man out of the dust of earth
in the animal life, and that man tilled the soil. And the man fell by
transgression. Correctly. And God, the Theophany, come down and was made flesh and dwelled among
us to redeem the man.
HEBREWS CHAPTER 5 AND 6 57-0908M 174-55 What did we find Him to be? We found Him
to be the great Jehovah God made manifest in flesh. We found Him to--to be not
a prophet, but the Fullness of the Godhead bodily. He was Jehovah made flesh.
And the body, Jesus, only tabernacled Him, God
dwelling in man, God being reconciled to man, through man, by the virgin birth
of His own Son. And Jehovah, the Spirit, dwelt in Him. Now, how many
remembers the teaching about the Godhead? How we went back and found God
like the great rainbow with all the different spirits, how it was... And then
the Logos went out of God, which become the Theophany,
and that was in the form of a man. And Moses seen
It pass by in the cleft of the rock. And then that Theophany
was made absolutely human flesh, Christ. And how we find out,
that we through His grace have Eternal Life. Now, the word
"forever" is "for a distance, for a space of time." It said
in the Bible, "Forever and forever," a conjunction. But
"forever" only means "a time." But "eternal"
means "forever." And only everything that had a beginning has an end.
But things which had no beginning has no end. So God
had no beginning and He has no end.
175-57 And so therefore, Melchisedec, the great Priest (like a man), He had no
beginning, and He has no end. And when we, through that Theophany
that... We were made in the image of God before the world was ever made.
When that Theophany has been made flesh and dwelt
among us, then through His death we ourselves receive His Spirit and we have no
end: Eternal Life; not Angels, but men and women. Oh, I somehow, if I could
only get it in a way that my audience would catch it. You will never be an
Angel. God made Angels, but God made man. And what God does is off of God,
which is as eternal as God is. And man's just as eternal as his Creator, because
he was made from eternity.
HEBREWS CHAPTER 6 AND 7 57-0915M
267-611 Now, when we go from here,
there's a tabernacle, a theophany, just a image of a
man, that don't eat, don't drink, don't sleep, awake forever. There's where we
go to. But they're waiting under the altar, crying, "Lord,
how long? How long?" to come back down because they want to shake hands
with one another; they want to set down and eat and talk to one another. They're
human. Blessed be the Name of the Lord. When God made man in His own image at
the beginning, He made him thus.
QA HEBREWS PART 2 57-1002 273-385 Now, he's speaking of the
soul, the spirit. For we pack our bodies over the grave of the
saintest of us, for this body. And the body... In the first place, when God, the Logos that
went out of God... Or, as I have went through it, the
Catholic call It, "the eternal sonship of
God."... Which as I have said before, the word doesn't even make sense.
See, there cannot be an eternal son, because a son had to have a beginning. And
so Jesus had a beginning; God had no beginning. See? But the Son was the... Not
eternal sonship, but the Son that was with the Father
in the beginning was the Logos that went out of God. And it was the Theophany of God that went out, the human form that didn't
have eyes like you see: a better eye. It didn't have ears like you hear, but a
far more hearing. See? It was a Theophany, that all this rainbow condescended into a--a Theophany. Moses saw It when
It passed through the rock like that. He saw the back parts, said, "It
looked like a man."
QA HEBREWS PART 2 57-1002 273-388 Now,
notice, we find out that, Who was Melchisedec but God
Himself. It couldn't have been no one else, for He was
the King of
QA HEBREWS PART 2 57-1002
277-412 Yes, notice, Now, my Jehovah Witness
friend, I'd like to ask you about that. See? If hell is a place... Hades, Sheol, whatever you wish to call it, if that ceases at the
grave, then why did He say, "I'll not leave My soul in hell, neither will
I suffer Thy holy One to see corruption"? How about that? See? Here His
body was in the grave, and his soul was in hell, preaching, alive. What about
that? He was in His Theophany again. His soul was
down there with those people that were in...?... theophany also, and was witnessing to them that they
repented not in the long-suffering.
QA HEBREWS PART 3
57-1006 306-601 That's Genesis 1, where He
created man in His own image, which was in the theophany.
And in Genesis 2, He made man out of the dust of the earth, which was the human
man that we have now.
QA HEBREWS PART 3
57-1006 339-Q-74 Now, one more thing I
want to hit just before we close; it'll take me about two minutes. 74. Where
will the saints be after the one thousand years' reign? And what kind of a body
will they have? I think that's the sweetest question; I just love that. Now,
let's look right straight into it. In the beginning God... We'll go back to our
Hebrew teaching just for a few minutes. God was this great big fountain of
seven colors. How many knows that? See? And how many knows that God has seven
Spirits? Absolutely, seven Spirits. And there was
seven eyes in the lamb, and so forth, all that coming together now. See? Now,
that was God. Now, when He, the Logos went out of God, which was God coming
from this one big fountain into a body in the form of a--of a man, and it made
the Logos, which we call theophany...
QA.HEBREWS.PART.3 57-1006 339-824 Now, if you take the theophany
when you are looking at that, that's a man. Now, that
we... Now, that's where we were in the beginning. Now, you do not understand it
now, but you was back there in the beginning that way. When man made... When
God made man in His image, He made him a theophany.
And He only placed him in flesh... When God made man in His image, in His
likeness, they were... In Genesis 2, there were... Or Genesis 1:28, I believe
it is, "There was no man yet to till the soil," and God had done made
male and female. That's right. "No man to till the soil..." Then God
brought man a little lower down and put him in animal life; that's this body,
just like the animals so that he could till the soil, could touch. That theophany doesn't touch; it doesn't see, taste, smell, hear, these senses that we have. So God
put man down there in order to--to touch and to feel.
QA.HEBREWS.PART.3 57-1006 340-826 And--and as he walked through the garden of
Eden, first as a theophany (like the Holy Spirit is
in here now walking in here), it led the animal life. It controlled everything,
but it couldn't till the soil. See? So God put him in flesh so that he could
till the soil, give him his five senses to till the soil and fix up the--the
vineyards and--and so forth, and then the man still looked lonesome. Oh, this
is a beautiful picture. Look, for when he was first made, he was made two
people together. He was made both male and female; the man was. The Bible said
he was. God made man both male and female, "created He him." Notice. Now, when man was separated from the theophany and put in flesh, he was--he wasn't just
altogether there; part of his being was still a theophany,
so it didn't look right. There went the male and female in the cow; there went
the horse; and there went the ox; and there went everything else, pairs. But
Adam, he... it was... See, there was something lacking. That very crave showed
that there was a mate waiting for him. You get it? And the very thoughts that
we have to die here, that we're troubled and perplexed, and we long for a Life
that has no death, it shows it's waiting for us. See?
QA HEBREWS PART 3
57-1006 340-829 And Adam was lonesome. And God, to show that they could not be separated... (Now,
I'm going to get back into this same thing, just a second.) Look, He never went
and got dirt and made a Eve, but He made from the
original dirt: Adam. He took a rib from his side and made him a helpmate, and
that was Eve. She was made for the man and part of the man. She was part of him
in the beginning in the creation in the theophany.
She was part of him down here in this creation. She could not be divided in
another creation; she had to be made in the same creation. That's exactly why
Christ and God had to be the very same Person; it could not be anything
different. If He'd been a good man or a prophet, He wouldn't have been a
Redeemer; He had to be the Creator Himself. But He's still a theophany now (You see?) and the way He was then.
CONFERENCE 60-1125 E-76 If the God that dwelt in that flesh down there of that Man, that Theophany, or whatever it was... The God that dwelt in
Jesus Christ Who Jesus... Everybody thought He talked double, but sometimes it
was Him talking, sometimes it was a Spirit talking Now, remember
Jesus was God. We're not God. He had the Spirit without measure. The Fulness of the Godhead bodily dwelt in Him, but we have the
Spirit by measure. Well, now if I took a spoonful of water out of the ocean, that would be comparison. You'd never miss it. Well,
that's the Holy Spirit that's on me and on you, but remember
if I... And Jesus had the whole ocean was in Him, all of it. But if I took a
spoonful of water out of the ocean, the same chemicals
that's in the entire ocean is in that--that spoonful. Ever
chemical in the ocean's in there. It's in the water. It's the same
Spirit, but not as much of it; but It'll act the same way, 'cause He promised
it.
QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS 61-0112 561-329 When a baby is being--a baby is being
formed in a womb of a mother, soon as it's put there... See, see? But first
it's a spirit. As that spirit begins to take on flesh, a little germ of life
begins to take on flesh, and as soon as it drops from its...
Now, in the womb, it's a little, quivering, jerking muscles. We know that.
That's cells. Just like you take a horse hair and put it in the water, it'll
cap over and it'll move, and you touch it and it'll jump. That's the way a baby
is. But as soon as it's borned in this world and
breathes its first breath, it becomes a living soul. See? Because
as soon as the earthly body is born into the world, there's a celestial body,
or a spiritual body, to take ahold of it. And
as soon as this natural body is dropped, there is a heavenly tabernacle waiting
for it: "If this earthly tabernacle be dissolved, there is a heavenly
tabernacle waiting for it." Just as soon as--as the
baby's dropped into the earth in flesh, there's a spiritual body waiting to
receive it. And as soon as the spiritual body--the natural body is
dissolved, there's a spiritual body waiting yonder (See?), a theophany we call it (See?), a theophany.
JESUS CHRIST THE SAME 61-0118 E-62
Some minister said to me not long ago, "You don't mean to say that was
God?" I said, "The Bible said it was God. Abraham called Him Lord;
capital L-o-r-d, Elohim. He ought to know. He was the
one talking to Him." He said, "Well, that was just a theophany." I said, "A theophany
don't eat a calf and drink buttermilk." That's right. He was God. The
Bible said He was. He was God, brethren. These three Angels... He said, "Why,
do you mean they were Angels?" I said, "Sure." "In dusty clothes and eating?" I said, "Sure.
You just don't know how great our God is. He wanted to come down to investigate
the situation down in
Mary's Belief
61-0121 But we notice, that the One that stayed behind to the elected
church, He showed a sign. And it was God doing that. it
was not a myth, it was not a theophany. A theophany don't eat. He eat the flesh of a calf, and eat some hoecake, corn bread,
and some butter on it, and drink the milk from the cow. A theophany
doesn't eat and drink: it was God made manifest in flesh. It sure was. And what
was He speaking? Jesus said, "As in that day, so will it be..." God
will come again, come into the flesh of His people that He had bought and
sanctified, and will show to His elected church the same sign that He showed to
His elected church back there.

it was. They said a "theophany." Ministers
try to say it was a theophany. But how does a theophany eat veal chops? No, sir.
A theophany doesn't eat. He was a man in a body of
flesh, but yet it was God.
CHRIST REVEALED IN HIS OWN WORD 65-0822M 139 When Jesus was manifested in the Old
Testament as we believe it... Now, you preachers out there, you can argue with
it, do whatever you want to, but I'm talking from my--what I think. See?When Jesus was manifested in
the Old Testament in a theophany, in the Person of Melchisedec, not a priesthood, but the Person, the

Do you believe that the God that made this promise, that did appear
Himself in the Book of Genesis, and appeared to Abraham, and performed that
miracle... That same God was made flesh, human flesh, borned
of a virgin. That was a theophany there, of course,
but then when He come in human flesh and was the same Man, and performed the
same things... Don't you believe that if God could get a person (that He
promised to do, according to Malachi 4), a channel that He could speak through,
He'll perform the same thing He said He'd do there? You believe that? I believe
He would
HEBREWS CHAPTER 1
57-0821 20-124 Now, the diamond when it comes forth, it's
just a big smooth, round like piece of glass. There's a blue diamond, black
diamond, emerald, and a clear diamond, white diamond. But when it come forth... Then when it's made and put into use there's a
part of that diamond has to lose. And it has to lose the--the chips off of it.
Knock little chips, because when it comes in direct light, like that, it makes
a sparkle. The chip what makes a sparkle, the way it's cut.
It's cut, chipped, and then when it does, it makes a sparkle, and one will go a
green light, the other one will go a blue light, and maybe another an emerald
light, and a red light, and different lights go from it like a rainbow color.
They call it fire in the diamond. Now, each one of those lights represents
gifts. But it's only Christ is the Diamond. And He was the One Who came, and
was bruised, and wounded, and chipped that He might reflect Himself back as a
Light to the world. He's that Master Diamond.
20-126 Could
you imagine before there even was a earth, before there was a light, before
there was a star, before there was anything? There's a Great Fountain going
forth of Spirit, and out of this Fountain came the most pure of love; 'cause
there was nothing for it to come from there but love. Now, we... What we call
love today is a perverted love. But just as we get a
essence, or a little bit of that love in us, it changes our whole opinion. Then
out of there come another stream off of this main Fountain, the Diamond, and it
was called righteousness, absolutely righteousness. Now, that's the reason we
had to have law. That's the reason law has to have judgment. If judgment
doesn't follow law, law doesn't do no good. And when
judgment was passed by law, which brings death... And there's no one who could
pay the penalty but God Himself. And He paid the penalty of our death, and took
our sins upon Him, that we might be the righteousness of God through Him. Now,
when these great Lights went out, or great rays of Spirit: love, peace...
That's all there was. That... There wasn't no suffering; there wasn't no--no hate, nor no malice. It
couldn't come from this Fountain. That was Jehovah. That was Jehovah God. And
now, as the theologians call it, a theophany went
from That, which was called in the Scriptural the
Logos, the Logos that went out of God. It's hard to explain, but It was a part of God.
21-129 Now,
here's what happened. Oh... Excuse me; I--I--I just get on this... This just
gets me right where I love it. See? The Logos, and this great Fountain; this
great Fountain of Spirit which had no beginning or no end, this great Spirit
begin to form in the creation; and the Logos that went out from It was the Son
of God. It was the only visible form that this Spirit had. And It was a theophany, which means a
body, and the body was like a man. Moses saw It when
It passed through the--by--by the rock. And he looked at It,
said, "It looked like the hind part of a man." It's the same type of
body that we receive when we die here, "If this earthly tabernacle be
dissolved, we have one already waiting." That was it. And that was the Theophany which was the Son of God. That Son,
that Logos became flesh because we were put in flesh. And the Theophany, the Logos, became flesh here among us, and It was nothing else but the dwelling place; for that entire
Fountain dwelt in Him. Oh, do you see it? There it is. That was the One that
in...
REV CHAP 4 PT 2 24 ELDERS 61-0101 181 Jesus, God's accepted
covenant surrounding the heavens. And around about Him was a rainbow around
about the throne in the sight like a emerald, amberish, green Light around the throne. Praise be to God.
REV CHAP 4 PT 2 24 ELDERS 61-0101 181 Watch. Noah's composed of
primarily... Noah's rainbow composed primarily of seven colors. Anybody knows
the rainbow's got seven colors. Now, what are the colors? Red, orange,
violet... No, red--red, orange, green, blue, indigo, and violet. That's the
colors of the rainbow. Now, we got a deep thing here, and I'm just going to
have to hit the high spots of it, 'cause it's getting too late, Now, remember,
orange--or, red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, and violet. Now, if you
notice, seven... Watch. Seven rainbows... Seven colors; I mean, seven-colored
rainbow. That meant seven bows. Seven bows, seven churches reflecting seven
lights, each light wrapped into the other one. It started off with red, red.
After red come orange, which is a reflection of red.
After orange was... After--after orange come yellow, which is red and orange
mixed together, makes yellow. Then green. Green and blue makes black. Then come
indigo. And then from indigo comes violet, which is part of blue. Oh, oh, oh.
Hallelujah. Don't you see? God, in His seven-colored rainbow,

REV CHAP 4 PT 2 24 ELDERS 61-0101 154 Notice the color of the Spirit of God which was above the likeness
of these four Creatures, was amber. Amber is yellowish green. Now, watch:
yellowish green, amber... Oh, He's the same yesterday... He revealed Hisself to Ezekiel in the midst of Ezekiel's vision. This
Light that he saw coming above the four living Creatures was yellowish green.
When He come to John, He appeared in the emerald which
is also yellowish green. He comes now to the revelator in yellowish green. He
comes to us in yellowish green, the Light. Walk in the Light; He is the Light.
REV CHAP 4 PT 2 24 ELDERS 61-0101 158 Watch. Are you ready?
Listen. Keep this now, just remember, to let you know. (Gene, you can hold this
tape.) Listen. (No, I don't have to hold it there; that's all right.) I mean
just keep the tape; permit this to the church. Notice this. Now, that you might
know that the color of the Light that's with the Lord, and the Lord's Light
that follows the Lord, and this is the Lord, is amber, yellowish green. That's
the same color of the Light that's with us today, as the scientists has took Its picture: yellowish green, amber.
REV CHAP 4 PT 2 24 ELDERS 61-0101 170 Now, notice how the Lord in His great mercy give us these things. Now, let's take another. Both Ezekiel and John saw
Him in the mystery of His colors and Light, and called it a
amber color. John later... You that puts your--putting down the Scriptures: I
John 1:5 to 7. John later (and was on the Isle of Patmos
about three years when he wrote the Book), when he come back, an old man in his
nineties, in I John 1:5 and 7, he said, "God is Light." John had an experience; he had seen Him and he knowed
that He was Light, Light, eternal Light; not cosmic light, not lamp light,
electric light, sunlight, but eternal Light. Oh, how I love Him.
"God is Light."
REV CHAP 4 PT 2 24 ELDERS 61-0101 185 But when John saw Him in this amber color, the amber color, He
surrounded and covered around like a halo. A halo... [Brother Branham taps on
something--Ed.]... A halo of amber color surrounded His Being. See? One color,
one God over all, through all, and in all, but there is
REV CHAP 4 PT 2 24 ELDERS 61-0101 196 But when John saw Him here, what was it? The
day of redeeming was over. It was all over, so he seen Him back in His original
condition, an amber color. Not only just half the world, it can only... The sun
can only shines on half the world at a time (See?), as it goes around. But when
John saw Him, He was setting to look upon as jasper and sardius
stone, amber colors; mix the two together, you got amber. "And a amber color around the throne." Oh, my. Oh, I--I tell
you, that just... We could just go on and on. Seven Spirits,
seven colors, seven church ages, seven ministers, seven lights, everything's in
a seven. God's perfect in seven. God worked six days; the seventh day He
rested. The world will exist six thousand years, and the seventh thousand is
the millennium.
REV CHAP 4 PT 2 24 ELDERS 61-0101 202 So we see Him in the circle bow of green,
amber color. This greenish, what
does green represent? Life. Green is
the evergreen, always stays green, is life. What does it mean? That God has
promised, as He took a oath back there in Genesis,
that He would no--put the rainbow in the sky, that He would no more destroy
this world by water. He also takes His oath and swears by Himself, that all the
Seed of Abraham He'll raise up, and this world will
stand all of its shaking judgments.
HEBREWS CHAPTER 6 AND 7 57-0915M 269-628 ... the forerunner is
gone--has for us entered, even Jesus, made a high priest for ever after the
order of Melchisedec. This great Forerunner has gone
before us, making a way. He's become from a Spirit, the great fountains of the
rainbow of God, Who had no beginning or no end. He was forever God. This ray
of light went forth; it was a ray of love. That's the main one, red. The next color follows, which was blue: blue, the trueness.
Next, followed after that was other colors to the seven perfect colors, which
is the seven Spirits of God, that went from that great Fountain and that great
Diamond that Jesus spoke of, that great Diamond that's chipped to reflect these
colors. God was made flesh and dwelled among us, that He might reflect His
goodness and mercy among us by gifts and signs and wonders. That whole big
rainbow had become in a theophany of--made in the
image like man. Yet He wasn't a man; He didn't have flesh yet; He was a theophany.
HEBREWS CHAPTER 1
57-0821 8-52 Now, in the Old Testament
they had three different ways they can know a message. First the law, that was
just the law. Then they had a--a prophet, a dreamer, and they had the Urim Thummim. Now, that may be a
little deep. The Urim Thummim
was the breastplate that Aaron wore on his breast. In there was twelve stones:
jasper, sardius, carbuncle, so forth, on down. They
got all twelve of the big stones that was in the
breastplate, showing that he was the high priest of every tribe, the twelve
tribes of

standing in the seven golden candlesticks, the darkest was what was the fartherest away from Him, His right hand and His left hand.
And He was to look upon as Alpha and Omega, not the in-between, the--the Alpha
and Omega, as He had His hand stretched. And He was jasper and sardius stone, which was Benjamin and Reuben, the first and
the last. There He had His hands stretched; there He stood.
REV CHAP 4 PT 2 24 ELDERS 61-0101 152 Watch this prophet here, five hundred and
ninety-five years before the coming of Christ; see how his vision compares with
John's. ... a whirlwind came out of the north, a great
cloud,... a fire unfolding itself, and the brightness was about it, and out of
the midst thereof was the colour of amber, out of the
midst of the fire. Also out of the midst thereof came the likeness of four
living creatures. And this was their appearance; they had a likeness of... man.
Notice the color of the Spirit of God which was above the likeness of these
four Creatures, was amber. Amber is yellowish green. Now, watch: yellowish
green, amber... Oh, He's the same yesterday... He revealed Hisself
to Ezekiel in the midst of Ezekiel's vision. This Light that he saw coming

REV CHAP 4 PT 2 24 ELDERS 61-0101 172 Notice, we're going to start back now and
see where we're at. On the 3rd verse yet, aren't we? Are we going to get it? I
hope. All right. He was to look upon as jasper and sardius stone: and there was a rainbow... about the throne,
in the sight like unto an emerald, yellowish green. Now, rainbow, you notice it
was a rainbow. Let's go back in Genesis 9 and find out in Genesis 9:13. And
we'll find back here the rainbow, when a rainbow first appeared. Genesis the
9th chapter, and we will begin at the 13th verse, Genesis 9:13. All of you like
this? Oh, I love it. I just don't like it; I love it. Look. I do set my bow in
the cloud, and it shall be for a token,... (Watch.)... token of a covenant
betwixt me and the earth... (What? "Betwixt Me and
Noah"? No. "Betwixt Me and the earth.")
And it shall come to pass, when I bring a cloud over the earth, that the bow
shall be seen in the cloud: And I will remember my covenant, which--which is
betwixt me and you... (Now, He come back to His
covenant betwixt them, but the rainbow covenant.)... See, the covenant was life
for Noah, that He spared him, but the covenant that
God made with Himself was a rainbow, that He would not... Now, I'll show you
what Noah's covenant was with God, in a minute. But this here was God's own
covenant with Himself (Amen.), a rainbow.
